THURSDAY'S MEN'S BASKETBALL GAME AT MEMPHIS TO BE TELEVISED ON SPORTSOUTH CHANNEL
MARTIN, Tenn. – Fans who cannot make The University of Tennessee at Martin men’s basketball game against the Memphis Tigers can catch the game live on the SportSouth channel. The game is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 29 at 7 p.m. from FedEx Forum.
SportSouth will air the Skyhawk game live and again on tape-delay at 10 p.m. on Thursday evening. The game can be found on Channel 437 for DISH Network subscribers and Channel 649 on DirecTV. Martin-area Charter subscribers can catch the game on Channel 37.
All six games in UT Martin’s all-time series with the Tigers have taken place in this decade, beginning in 2000. The Skyhawks last battled Memphis in 2010, falling to the then-No. 14 ranked Tigers by a 102-80 margin.
UT Martin (2-4) is coming off an 80-57 loss at Bradley last Saturday. In that game, the Skyhawks trailed by only three points with 14 minutes remaining before a lengthy Bradley run took place. Myles Taylor led the way for UT Martin with 17 points and nine rebounds, while Mike Liabo and Justin Childs added 15 and 12 points, respectively, for the Skyhawks.
Memphis (3-2) dropped out of the national rankings after a pair of single-digit losses at the Battle 4 Atlantis in The Bahamas last weekend, although the Tigers concluded the tournament with a 52-47 triumph over Northern Iowa. Chris Crawford (18 points, 12 rebounds) and Joe Jackson (15 points) led Memphis, who limited Northern Iowa to just 28 percent shooting (7-for-25) in the second half.
