RICK ROBINSON RESIGNS AS SKYHAWK HEAD BASEBALL COACH
MARTIN, Tenn. – It was announced today that the University of Tennessee at Martin baseball program will undergo a leadership change as Rick Robinson has resigned as head coach to pursue other opportunities.
“We thank Coach Robinson for his service to UT Martin,” Skyhawk athletic director Kurt McGuffin said. “We will immediately begin exploring our options for the 2018 season.”
Robinson was hired as the 10th head baseball coach in Skyhawk history on June 3, 2014. He posted a 61-100 record with a 30-59 Ohio Valley Conference mark in his time at UT Martin. Last season, the Skyhawks set new Division-I school records with 25 wins and 12 OVC victories on their way to making the program’s first OVC Tournament appearance since 2011. In 20 seasons as a collegiate head coach, Robinson has compiled a 760-381 career record.
