CLOSING HOLES COST UT MARTIN DOWN THE STRETCH AT OVC GOLF CHAMPIONSHIPS

MARTIN, Tenn. - The University of Tennessee at Martin golf team entered the final three holes of the Ohio Valley Conference Championships only three strokes out of third place and in line for their best finish at the conference tournament since 1995, but could not get past the treacherous par-3 No. 16 at the GreyStone Golf Course down the stretch. The Skyhawks played No. 16 at 7-over-par to end the day at 10-over-par 298 and finish the tournament in eighth at 33-over-par 897. more>>

SKYHAWK GOLF SLIPS TO SIXTH IN SECOND ROUND OF OVC CHAMPIONSHIPS

DICKSON, Tenn. - The University of Tennessee at Martin golf team couldn't catch as many of the breaks it did on day one of the Ohio Valley Conference Men's Championship, battling through cold and rainy conditions to fire a 17-over-par 305 and slip to sixth place. The Skyhawks, who began the day in second and only eight shots off the pace, were led by Sam Hinson's 2-over-par 74 today but for the tournament the top four Skyhawks all sit at 6-over-par 150. more>>
