BRENTWOOD, Tenn. - The 2017 Ohio Valley Conference Soccer Championship field is set. For the first time in league history, the tourney has expanded to eight teams. Murray State has earned the No. 1 seed while Tennessee Tech is the No. 2 seed. Both the Racers and the Golden Eagles have earned byes into the semifinals. Eastern Kentucky is the No. 3 seed and Belmont is the No. 4 seed and have received byes into the quarterfinals. Southeast Missouri is the No. 5 seed followed by UT Martin, SIUE and Austin Peay.
The semifinals and championship match will be on the campus of Murray State. Fifth seeded Southeast Missouri and No. 8 Austin Peay will play on the campus of No. 4 Belmont while No. 6 UT Martin and No. 7 SIUE will play on the campus of No. 3 Eastern Kentucky
First rounds will take place Oct. 27 followed by the quarterfinals on Oct. 29. The semifinals will be held on Nov. 3 followed by the championship on Nov. 5
This marks the 14th appearance for UT Martin in the OVC Soccer Championships. The Skyhawks are 9-11-1 all-time in the tournament and have won seven of their last 10 tournament matches.
The entire OVC Soccer Championship will be streamed on the OVC Digital Network.
