FOOTBALL CONTEST AGAINST EASTERN ILLINOIS PICKED UP AS ESPN3 WILDCARD SELECTION

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee at Martin football team’s home contest against Ohio Valley Conference foe Eastern Illinois scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 28 has been tabbed as a “Wildcard Selection” in the league’s Game of the Week football package on ESPN3. The game will kickoff at 2 p.m. at Hardy M. Graham Stadium.

When the league’s eight-contest Game of the Week schedule was announced in july, the Oct. 28, Nov. 4, Nov. 11 and Nov. 18 games were deemed “Wildcard” dates where the matchup would not be announced until roughly two weeks prior to the contest. This marks UT Martin’s second ESPN3 Game of the Week broadcast of the OVC package this season.

UT Martin and Eastern Illinois have played 22 previous times with the Panthers holding a 14-8 all-time advantage. The teams have split the last four meeting.

This marks the fifth-straight season the league has produced the Game of the Week package in conjunction with Tupelo Raycom (formerly WebStream Sports). With offices in New York, Indianapolis, Charlotte, Nashville and Los Angeles the company develops new programming and delivers live events, music specials and branded features for broadcast, digital and in-venue entertainment. The OVC Football Game of the Week package is part of an overall multiyear agreement with ESPN which was announced in October 2013.

ESPN3 is ESPN's live multi-screen sports network, a destination that delivers thousands of exclusive sports events annually. It is accessible on computers, smartphones, tablets and connected devices through the ESPN App. The network is currently available nationwide at no additional cost to fans who receive their high-speed Internet connection or video subscription from an affiliated service provider. It is also available at no cost to U.S. college students and U.S.-based military personnel via computers, smartphones and tablets connected to on-campus educational and on-base military broadband and Wi-Fi networks.
