UT MARTIN FOOTBALL REMAINS RANKED AT NO. 25 IN WEEKLY STATS FCS POLL

MARTIN, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee at Martin football team tallied its third consecutive week in the STATS FCS Poll, sitting ranked 25th nationally amongst voting media members

After reaching as high as No. 18 in the STATS Poll a week ago, a loss to unranked Austin Peay 7-0 saw the Skyhawks fall seven spots in the weekly poll while dropping out of the FCS Coaches Poll. UT Martin joins No. 4 Jacksonville Stats as the lone Ohio Valley Conference squads in the national rankings.

UT Martin currently ranks ninth nationally in scoring defense (15.0 ppg), 12th in total defense (271.8 ypg) and 16th in rushing defense (91.8 ypg).

The Skyhawks (3-2, 1-1 OVC) will return to action with a Homecoming matchup against league rival Murray State on Saturday, Oct. 7. Kickoff from Hardy M. Graham Stadium is scheduled for 2 p.m.
