MARTIN, Tenn. –
For the third time this season, the University of Tennessee at Martin soccer squad has produced an adidas Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Week. This week’s honoree is freshman goalkeeper Erica Myers as OVC Goalkeeper of the Week.

This marks the first such honor for Myers. UT Martin has already seen Danae Kaldaridou (Aug. 22) and Amy McGivern (Sept. 5) garner OVC Offensive Player of the Week accolades in 2017.

Myers stood tall in her efforts as she tallied two clean sheets defeating Jacksonville State 1-0 on Friday and Southeast Missouri 1-0 on Sunday. The Holland, Ohio native led the Skyhawks to their first two shutouts of the season to kickoff OVC action while stopping 10 would-be goals. Her two shutouts and 10 saves lead the OVC in conference play.

On the season, Myers has racked up 48 saves while sporting a 1.30 GAA. She has tallied a career-high eight saves in three different matches, the latest coming at Western Carolina on Sept. 10.

The Skyhawks travel to Richmond, Ky. to take on the Eastern Kentucky Colonels this Friday with first touch slated for 3 p.m. CST.
