Meanwhile Jodie Duncan is riding a hot bat, posting a .362 batting average while four home runs and 36 RBIs – including eight in the last four games.
In the pitching circle, the Skyhawks are led by senior Brooke Kennedy (17-5, 2.91 ERA) who will look to remain perfect against OVC foes, posting a 7-0 record and 1.81 ERA against league opponents. Sophomore Sara Hooten (8-4, 2.52 ERA) will also see action, tallying seven complete games in 91.2 innings of work.
Belmont (30-17, 6-9 OVC) will look to send its seniors out on a high note with its final home series of the season. Four Bruins are batting over .300, led by Jess Andree who has tallied a .331 averaging along with 25 runs, 11 doubles, five home runs and 31 RBIs. Senior Chelsey Deloney carries the big bat for the offense, leading the OVC with 12 home runs – which ranks 33rd nationally – while tallying 31 RBIs. In the pitching circle, Brooklin Lee highlights the staff with a 15-7 record and 2.21 ERA in 133 innings of work.
Tennessee State (12-32, 2-14 OVC) enters the weekend having dropped 11 of its last 14 contests while picking up a series split against Austin Peay earlier in the week. The Tigers are led offensively by Selena Crafton with a .322 batting average and 16 stolen bases while Danica Gleason has posted a .290 average with one home run and 21 RBIs. The pitching staff is paced by Lauren Woodard (4-11, 4.23 ERA) and Lauren Powell (5-14, 5.40 ERA).
