BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee at Martin men’s basketball game at Southeast Missouri on Feb. 18 will air live on American Sports Network, the Ohio Valley Conference announced this morning.
The OVC unveiled an eight-game contract with Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. today, as the Skyhawks and Redhawks will now tip off at 11 a.m. from the Show Me Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
Coinciding with today’s announcement, UT Martin is now tentatively scheduled to have at least three nationally televised games in 2016-17. The Skyhawks’ road games at Kentucky (Nov. 25, SEC Network) and at Austin Peay (Jan. 26, CBS Sports Network) will also be broadcasted live to a nationwide audience.
The American Sports Network is an initiative of the Sinclair Networks Group, LLC, owned by Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. That group owns and operates programs, providing sales services to 164 television stations in 79 markets, reaching approximately 43 percent of U.S. television households. It includes FOX, ABC, CBS, MyTV, CW, NBC, Univision and Azteca affiliates. The exact stations for which the UT Martin and Southeast Missouri game will air will be announced at a later date.
