MARTIN, Tenn. – Fans are invited out to view five different Skyhawk sport programs who will be in action on the University of Tennessee at Martin campus this weekend.

The final two days of the 46th annual UT Martin spring college rodeo will take place at the Ned McWherter Agricultural Pavilion and NW (Doc) Robinson Arena. UT Martin will host teams from 10 other universities or colleges in an event that has been named “Rodeo of the Year” by the Ozark Region for eight straight years.

Friday night’s action begins at 7:30 p.m. A free barbecue lunch will be sponsored by Edward Jones Investments at 11 a.m. on Saturday, followed by the championship finals at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for children and UT Martin students.

The UT Martin baseball team will be in action against Ohio Valley Conference rival Eastern Kentucky this weekend at Skyhawk Field. UT Martin will look for a home field advantage, as it holds a 6-4 series lead over the Colonels since 2011.

Game 1 of the series will occur on Friday at 6 p.m., followed by Game 2 on Saturday at 3 p.m. and the series finale on Sunday at 1 p.m. Admission is free.

The Skyhawk tennis squad will also be in action this weekend, concluding the regular season against Austin Peay and Murray State at Skyhawk Varsity Courts. Senior Day festivities will take place on Saturday, as Ivon Simic and Katie McCall will be honored for their career contributions.

UT Martin will take on the Lady Govs on Saturday at 2 p.m. and will battle Murray State on Sunday at 2 p.m. Admission is free.

The Skyhawk football team will also hold their annual spring game on Saturday. UT Martin has conducted 11 of their allotted 15 spring practices and Saturday’s scrimmage will be the second of three scheduled in April.

The spring game will start at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at Hardy Graham Stadium. Admission is free.

For the first time in head coach Darrin McClure’s tenure, the Skyhawk volleyball team will host a spring tournament on Saturday. UT Martin will round out its spring season by hosting four regional teams in the Kathleen and Tom Elam Center.

The Skyhawks will play matches at 8 a.m, 10 a.m., noon and 2 p.m. on Saturday. Admission is free.
