MARTIN, Tenn. - The University of Tennessee at Martin men’s basketball team will look to play the role of spoiler when it hosts Ohio Valley Conference West rival Austin Peay on Senior Night at the Kathleen and Tom Elam Center. The game – which is the finale of a women’s and men’s basketball doubleheader – is set to tip off at 4 p.m.

Before the game, UT Martin (8-22, 3-12 OVC) will recognize the career contributions of seniors Mike Liabo, Justin Childs, Bobby Jones, Pierre Mopo and Omari Minor. Those five Skyhawks have combined for 2,347 points, 836 rebounds, 478 assists and 239 steals in their careers.

On Jan. 2 in Clarksville, the Skyhawks fell 81-68 to Austin Peay despite 19 points and a career-high 14 rebounds out of junior Myles Taylor. Childs (14), Terence Smith (11) and Dee Oldham (10) also scored in double-figures.

Austin Peay (11-18, 5-10 OVC) enters the game needing a win and an SIU Edwardsville victory over Eastern Illinois to clinch a spot in next week’s OVC Tournament. The Governors are coming off a narrow 83-80 loss at Southeast Missouri on Saturday. Travis Betran piled up a game-high 28 points while Ed Dyson added 20 points for Austin Peay but the Redhawks shot 60 percent on their way to the victory.
