MARTIN, Tenn. - The University of Tennessee at Martin men’s basketball team will go for its third straight win in the Vadalabene Center when it clashes against Ohio Valley Conference West rival SIU Edwardsville in a nationally televised game on Saturday, Feb. 8. Tipoff time is set for 8 p.m.

The Skyhawks (7-18, 2-8 OVC) have won on each of their last two visits to SIU Edwardsville, winning last season (65-62 on Jan. 26, 2013) and again during the 2010-11 campaign (78-69 on Jan. 24, 2011). UT Martin has not lost a road game at SIU Edwardsville since a 70-57 loss on Feb. 22, 1992.

These two teams met just two weeks ago in Martin, as SIU Edwardsville overcame an 11-point first half deficit to post an 87-82 win. Terence Smith poured in a game-high 22 points to lead four Skyhawks in double-figures scoring.

SIU Edwardsville (9-15, 5-5 OVC) is coming off its fifth straight home victory, a 93-88 overtime thriller against Southeast Missouri on Thursday. After tying the game with 0.6 seconds left in regulation, the Cougars hit 80 percent of their field goal attempts in overtime to seal the win. Rozell Nunn (team-high 21 points and eight rebounds) and Donivine Stewart (11 points and 11 assists) led SIU Edwardsville.
