MARTIN, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee at Martin will be amongst five schools vying for the right to be called the best in the Ohio Valley Conference when the league rifle championships take place on the campus of Murray State University on Feb. 7-8.
Coached by Bob Beard, the Skyhawks will battle host Murray State, Jacksonville State, Morehead State and Columbus State this weekend. The Skyhawks tallied an aggregate score of 4,618, which is just two points shy of the program record set at Jacksonville State on Oct. 12 earlier this season. The UT Martin women’s squad – ranked 21st nationally – set a season-high aggregate scoring tally of 4,513 at Columbus State on Oct. 13, 2013.
