MEN'S HOOPS TRAVELS TO OVC WEST RIVAL MURRAY STATE FOR NATIONALLY-TELEVISED MATCHUP

MARTIN, Tenn. - The University of Tennessee at Martin men’s basketball team concludes its challenging three-game Ohio Valley Conference opening road swing with a showdown against OVC West rival Murray State at the CFSB Center.
The last time these two teams met, the Skyhawks led for nearly 35 minutes of clock time in a 69-68 victory. Mike Liabo tossed in 20 points - including a pair of clutch free throws with seven seconds left for UT Martin, who snapped an 0-for-22 skid in all-time road games at Murray State.
The Skyhawks are coming off an 81-68 loss at Austin Peay on Thursday evening. Myles Taylor amassed his 13th career double-double with 19 points to go along with a career-best 14 rebounds to lead UT Martin.
Murray State opened its OVC slate with an 82-75 home victory over Southeast Missouri on Thursday. In that game, the Racers jumped out to a 10-0 lead but trailed 67-66 with 4:45 remaining before wrapping up the contest on a 16-8 run. Cameron Payne accounted for a game-high 23 points while Jarvis Williams recorded a double-double of 16 points and 18 rebounds for Murray State.
