BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Tyler Guy, a sophomore at the University of Tennessee at Martin, has earned adidas Ohio Valley Conference Male Co-Golfer of the Week accolades, the league office announced this morning. Guy shared the award with Tennessee Tech’s Mitch Thomas.

A Clarksville, Tenn. native, Guy claimed Skyhawk Fall Classic all-tournament honors at Paris Landing State Park in Buchanan, Tenn. He carded rounds of 69-68-69 to finish second out of 88 golfers, finishing with a three-round total of 206 (-10). For the tournament, he tallied 15 birdies and shot 6-under on both par-4 and par-5 holes.

Guy helped UT Martin claim a second-place finish in the tournament, as the Skyhawks fired three under-par rounds for a total score of 847 (-17).

Through four fall tournaments, Guy currently ranks second in the OVC with a 71.6 scoring average, just 0.4 strokes off the top spot. As a team, UT Martin leads all of the 11 OVC schools in scoring average (287.8 over 12 rounds).
