DEFENSIVE LINEMAN TO PLAY IN FOOTBALL ALL-STAR CLASSIC IN MONTGOMERY

MARTIN– Montori Hughes, a senior defensive lineman at The University of Tennessee at Martin, will play in the Raycom Football All-Star Classic in Montgomery, Ala., Saturday, Jan. 19. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. CT.

Hughes, who transferred to UT Martin from Tennessee, finished the regular season with 42 tackles, 8.5 TFLs, four sacks and 13 quarterback hurries.

The Murfreesboro native was named to The Sports Network/Fathead.com FCS second team All-America defensive squad, the All-Ohio Valley Conference first-team defense and the Phil Steele FCS first-team All-American team.

The head coach of the Stars team will be Jim Bates, a 17-year defensive genius. The Stripes team will be coached by former NFL coach and Super Bowl winner Dan Reeves.

The game has a television contract with CBS Sports.
