MARTIN, Tenn. - The University of Tennessee at Martin men’s basketball team looks for its first Ohio Valley Conference victory of the season when it plays host to the Austin Peay Governors on Saturday, Jan. 5 at the Kathleen and Tom Elam Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.

The Skyhawks (3-12, 0-3 OVC) are coming off a hard-fought 73-62 home loss to defending OVC champion Murray State on Thursday. Mike Liabo (12 points), Myles Taylor (11) and Terence Smith (10) each cracked double-digures in the scoring column for UT Martin, who forced Murray State into 19 turnovers and outscored the Racers by a 43-40 margin in the second half.

Austin Peay (4-11, 0-1 OVC) enters the game having lost seven straight - including back-to-back two point losses. The Governors opened their OVC slate on Thursday night at Southeast Missouri, narrowly falling 86-84.

In that game, Austin Peay was led by Travis Betran, who tallied a career-high 30 points while draining six 3-pointers. Will Triggs (29 points on 14-for-17 shooting, 11 rebounds) and Anthony Campbell (11 points) also paced the Governors, who lead the OVC in three-point field goal percentage (.417), blocks (5.3 per game) and assists (15.5 per game).
