CROSS COUNTRY TRIO COMPETES AT NCAA REGIONALS AT FLORIDA STATE

MARTIN, Tenn. – Three University of Tennessee at Martin cross country runners competed against the best in the South on Friday, as the trio competed in the NCAA South Regional Championships held at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee, Fla.

Amongst a field of 177 runners, senior Ryan Pett crossed the finish line of the 10k course in 34:27.6 (5:33 mile pace). In the women’s 6k, senior Amanda Wardlaw finished with a total time of 22:58.5 (6:10 mile pace) while Hannah Wolters completed the course in 24:00.4 (6:27 mile pace) in a field of 205 runners.

“Amanda and Ryan ran good personal bests while Hannah finished with her second-best time,” Skyhawk head coach Gordon Sanders said. “All three had their best seasons which bodes well for the spring track season."

UT Martin’s track season begins on Saturday, Feb. 7 when it travels to Nashville for the Tennessee State Invite.
