MARTIN, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee at Martin shot a three-round 941 in the Arkansas State University Fall Beach Classic at the Peninsula Golf and Racquet Club at Golf Shores, Ala.
Vanderbilt won the tournament with a three-round 882, while Murray State and Arkansas-Little Rock tied for second. Both teams turned in three-round scores of 891.
Freshman Tyler Guy led the Skyhawks with a three-round 227. He was tied for 20th in the tournament. He tied UT Martin’s Graham Sleigh who competed in the two-day tournament as an individual.
Sophomore Brendon Caballero shot a 228, while junior Clay Harbin fired a three-round 239. Senior Taylor Deming shot a 250, while John Michael Sisinni shot 252.
The Skyhawks will return to action Feb. 16, when they play in the Frito Lay/Taco Bell Intercollegiate hosted by Jackson State at the Dancing Rabbit Golf Club.
