WIDE RECEIVER EARNS COLLEGE FOOTBALL PERFORMANCE AWARDS HONOR

September 10, 2012

MARTIN, Tenn. – Senior wide receiver Quentin Sims was named one of eight Ohio Valley Conference players who were recognized by College Football Performance Awards (CFPA) for his effort this past Saturday.

The UT Martin wide receiver had 10 catches for 152 yards in the Skyhawks’ 35-7 loss to Football Bowl Subdivision team Northern Illinois.

Sims’ performance against NIU is the seventh best receiving performance in school history, and his 152 yards receiving marks the second time the Cincinnati native has had more than 100 yards receiving in a game for his career.

The goal of College Football Performance Awards is to provide the most scientifically rigorous conferments in college football. Recipients are selected exclusively based upon objective scientific rankings of the extent to which individual players increase the overall effectiveness of their teams.
