MARTIN, Tenn. –Head coach Jason Simpson will welcome the 2012 UT Martin Skyhawk football team to campus for preseason preparations for the upcoming 11-game slate.
Players must report to campus by 5:30 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 5. The first team practice in shorts and helmets is set for 7:15 p.m., Monday, Aug. 6 at Hardy M. Graham Stadium.
The team’s first practice in full pads is set for Saturday, Aug. 11.
The Skyhawks will host a Media Day at 9 a.m. in Graham Stadium on Wednesday, Aug. 22. The players will have their team picture taken first, and then requested photos, group and individual pictures will be taken.
At 10:15 a.m., Simpson and selected seniors will talk about the upcoming season and answer questions. The press conference will be held in the Bob Carroll Building’s Multi-Purpose Room.
CREDENTIALS:Credential requests should be made soon through the Office of Sports Information. The credentials for the season’s five home games will be ready for pickup at Media Day. For away games, contact Joe Lofaro to make arrangements to obtain credentials from the host school.
INTERVIEWS:All interviews, whether for head coach Jason Simpson or players, must be arranged through the Sports Information Office. Telephone or personal interviews with players must be made at least one day in advance. Interviews can be arranged through Thursday on game week (through Wednesday the week of Sept. 13).
