The University of Tennessee at Martin women’s basketball team looks to close out the month of November strong when playing host to North Carolina A&T on Thursday, Nov. 30. Tipoff from the Elam Center is scheduled for 6 p.m.
The Skyhawks (2-3) enter the contest hot off a come-from-behind victory over Western Carolina in their last outing. After trailing by as much as nine points in the second half, UT Martin clawed its way back into the contest after forcing the Catamounts into 32 turnovers and scoring 25 points in the fourth quarter to secure a 62-54 victory. Three Skyhawks scored in double figures in the contest, led by junior Emanye Robertson with 18 points – including 12 points in the fourth quarter alone – along with eight rebounds, four steals and three assists.

Additionally, the Skyhawks rank 10th nationally in turnover margin, 16th in turnovers forced and 25th in steals.
Thursday’s matchup with pit two successful coaches against each other in UT Martin’s Kevin McMillan and North Carolina A&T’s Tarrell Robinson. McMillan currently sits in fifth place in OVC history with an overall record of 156-105 in nine seasons for the Skyhawks. Meanwhile, Robinson recently notched his 100th career victory with a 101-62 mark in six seasons.
North Carolina A&T (2-4) is looking to wrap up a three-game road trip and snap a brief two-game slide with Thursday’s matchup. Also known for their defensive ability, the Aggies lead the MEAC in turnovers forced per game (24.8) and rank eighth nationally. The Aggies boast three players scoring in double figures led by C’Coriea Foy’s 13.5 points per game while Cinia McCray (10.8 ppg) and Kala Green (10.8 ppg) are close behind.
This serves as just the second matchup between the two programs in series history. North Carolina A&T won last season’s matchup on Nov. 14 by a score of 74-59 in Greensboro, NC.
