SKYHAWK GOLF ROUNDS OUT FALL SCHEDULE AT MTSU INTERCOLLEGIATE

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Playing in his hometown today, freshman Nick Wolf led the University of Tennessee at Martin golf team at the MTSU Intercollegiate played at Old Fort Golf Club.
Wolf finished 14th in the field of 68 golfers today, shooting a 149 (+5). He posted a 73 during the morning round and followed that with a 76 this afternoon, placing seventh out of Ohio Valley Conference participants in the tournament. He accounted for four of the Skyhawks’ 10 birdies today.
Playing without four of its top scorers, UT Martin was also a man down on the team scoring aspect after a withdrawal during the morning round. As a team, the Skyhawks finished 10th with a total score of 619 (+43) – shooting a 309 in the first round and following with a 310 in the final round. UT Martin ranked third in the tournament field in par-5 scoring (4.93, -2) and fifth in par-3 scoring (3.31, +10).
Tate Chumley was the next highest finisher for the Skyhawks, carding a 155 (+11) after rounds of 79-76 today. Ryan Davis shot a 156 (+12) with scores of 76 and 80 while Peyton Dix (81-78) tallied an overall score of 159 (+15).
Competing as an individual, Mason Chandler secured a 76 in the first round before finishing with an 80 for a total of 156 (+12).
After a successful fall season that included three victories and five top-two finishes in five events, UT Martin opens its spring slate on Feb. 25-26 when it travels to Goodyear, Ariz. for the Loyola Intercollegiate.
