NINE SKYHAWK STUDENT-ATHLETES HONORED AS EASTON/NFCA SCHOLAR-ATHLETES

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Tennessee at Martin softball team continues to impress in the classroom after being recognized by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) as nine student-athletes were named 2015-16 Easton/NFCA Division I Scholar-Athletes.
UT Martin ranked amongst the nation’s elite with the team’s 3.344 cumulative Grade Point Average. As a whole, the Skyhawks placed nine student-athletes on the NFCA Scholar-Athlete team. To be eligible, honorees must have maintained a 3.5 GPA or higher.
Savannah Dodson, Jessie Douglas, Jodie Duncan, Carly Gonzales, Brooke Graham, Brooke Kennedy, Renate Meckl, Lauren Myers and Katie Warrick were all honored.
The 2017 version Skyhawks will open the regular season at the Southeastern Louisiana Lion Classic on Friday, February 10-12.
