MEN'S TEAM EXPANDS LEAD AT COLLEGE NATIONAL FINALS RODEO

CASPER, Wyo. – Five days are in the books at the 2014 College National Finals Rodeo and the University of Tennessee at Martin has opened up a 130-point lead over the 53-team field.
UT Martin has compiled 520 total points, expanding upon their 40-point lead after Wednesday’s action. Tarleton State (390 points) is the closest team to UT Martin in the team standings.
A trio of cowboys represented UT Martin in the third go of their respective events today. Will Lummus placed third in steer wrestling with a time of 4.8 while Colt Kitaif produced a seventh place finish with a score of 75.5 in bareback riding. Clark Adcock competed in the tie down roping event, placing 16th with a time of 11.6. Adcock is now tied for second for all-around cowboy honors with 135 total points.
Friday marks the final day of third go festivities, as Lummus (tie down roping), Tanner Phipps (bareback riding) and Nealey Dalton (barrel racing) will all be in action for UT Martin starting at 7 p.m. National individual and team champions will be crowned during the final round, which is set for Saturday, June 21 at 7 p.m.
