Competing as an individual, Gavin Shellnut carded a 158 (83, 75) this afternoon.
“It was a long day – we had a 30 minute delay with rain this morning,” Skyhawk head coach Jerry Carpenter said. “We got started at 8:30 this morning and played until 7:40 tonight. The first nine to 11 holes were played in light rain and the wind was blowing about 15 to 20 miles per hour which made it very difficult to score. We have a shot to finish in the top-five and that’s our goal for tomorrow – hopefully we will have good weather.”
The third and final round begins on Tuesday, April 8 from RidgePointe Country Club at 8:30 a.m.
