MARTIN, Tenn. – DJ Roberts, a redshirt senior on the University of Tennessee at Martin football team, has been recognized by College Football Performance Awards as one of 11 defensive linemen who had outstanding performances in Week 11.

At Football Bowl Subdivision rival Memphis on Saturday, Roberts tallied a season-high seven tackles (five solo) and tied a career-high with 2.5 tackles for loss. The 6-2, 245-pound Knoxville, Tenn. native also had a fumble recovery in the third quarter.

Roberts was part of a swarming Skyhawk defense that limited Memphis to 342 yards of total offense and forced six punts. UT Martin held the Tigers scoreless until 23 seconds remained in the second quarter.

In 2013, the preseason All-Ohio Valley Conference selection has started in all 10 games, registering 38 total tackles. He also has accumulated 9.5 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks and seven quarterback hurries.

The Skyhawks return to OVC play this Saturday, Nov. 16 when they travel to Eastern Kentucky for a 12 p.m. CST kickoff.
