“This weekend’s weather allowed for a better test of fitness,” said UT Martin head cross country coach Gordon Sanders. “The fact that Hayley had more than a minute improvement was not a surprise after having the biggest summer’s training in her life. The same strategy helped Justin to his personal best and Joey to continue to be the top frosh. Grace is showing form consistent with her track personal bests and Heather was just a few seconds away from a personal best as well.”
“It was quite a bit of improvement for everyone from two weeks ago,” continued Sander. “We will just continue to build through the season.”
The Skyhawk cross country teams will be back in action on Saturday, Oct. 5 when they make the trip to Louisville, Ky. for the Louisville Classic. The meet is schedule to start at 9:30 a.m.
