RODEO TEAMS CONCLUDE CNFR; MEN'S TEAM ENDS WITH TOP-TEN NATIONAL RANKING

CASPER, Wyo. – The University of Tennessee at Martin rounded out its participation in the 2013 College National Finals Rodeo with the short go round on Saturday night at the Casper Events Center.
Once all the scores were tallied, the UT Martin men’s team finished the CNFR with 390 points, finishing 10th in the nation. That marks the fifth time since 2005 that the UT Martin men’s squad has ranked in the top-10 in the final standings under head coach John Luthi.
Junior Tyler Waltz put together a nice performance in bareback riding, capturing third place with a score of 75.5. He concludes his season with a No. 6 national ranking in that event.
UT Martin also had a pair of entrants in the team roping event but did not receive a score. John Alley and Clark Adcock competed as a team in the Saturday short go and ended the season ranked No. 7 in the nation. Clay Mitchell and Lane Mitchell also participated on Saturday and closes out the 2013 campaign as the 10th best team in the country.
