DEFENSIVE BACK EARNS COLLEGE FOOTBALL PERFORMANCE AWARDS HONOR

MARTIN, Tenn. – Junior defensive back Fred Flenorl was named the Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Week by College Football Performance Awards (CFPA) for his effort this past Saturday night in The University of Tennessee at Martin’s 31-6 victory over Austin Peay at Governors Stadium in Clarksville.

The UT Martin defensive back, from Memphis, recorded seven tackles, 0.5 TFL, an interception with a 25 yard return and a fumble recovery for 11 yards and a touchdown.

Flenorl has 24 tackles in four games this season. He also has two forced fumbles.

The goal of College Football Performance Awards is to provide the most scientifically rigorous conferment in college football. Recipients are selected exclusively based upon objective scientific rankings of the extent to which individual players increase the overall effectiveness of their teams.
