FOUR RODEO CONTESTANTS FINISH AMONG TOP EIGHT IN NATION AT CNFR

MARTIN, Tenn. – Senior Heather Moore has made the trek to Casper, Wyo. every June for the past four years. This year’s trip was the best as The University of Tennessee at Martin barrel racer, from New Johnsonville, turned in a blistering 14.02 in the championship short round of the College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR).
Moore finished third in the championship short round and sixth in the nation. She was just one of four UT Martin rodeo contestants to compete in the championship short round Saturday night.
Jordan Thrasher finished eighth in the tie down roping in the championship short round with a time of 10.6. He also finished eighth in the nation in the event.
Ben Walker and Clark Adcock finished second in the team roping in the championship short round with a time of 6 seconds. Walker and Adcock finished fifth in the nation.
The UT Martin men’s team finished 24th in the nation, while the women finished 27th.
