SOFTBALL OUTFIELDER NAMED EASTON FASTPITCH ALL-AMERICAN

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla – Junior Leah Taylor, an outfielder on The University of Tennessee at Martin softball team, was named to the 2012 Easton Fastpitch All-American Team Monday.

Athletes selected to the Easton All-American teams have shown power and prowess at the plate. Those named Easton All-Americans include 47 athletes from 25 institutions.

Taylor, recently named a CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-American, is a marketing major with a 3.96 G.P.A. She was the 2012 Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Year. The Brownsville native led UT Martin to the OVC championship, the NCAA Regionals and a 39-22 record. She led the Skyhawks with a .385 batting average, 61 runs scored, 77 hits, 10 triples and 37 stolen bases. With 75 stolen bases, she ranks second in school history.
