RODEO FANS HAVE CHANCE TO WIN MTD RIDING LAWN MOWER

MARTIN, Tenn. - Rodeo fans will have a chance to enter a drawing to win a MTD riding lawn mower Thursday, April 15 at the 42nd Annual Spring College Rodeo at The University of Tennessee at Martin.

If your name is drawn and you can make a horseshoe ringer from 40 feet away, you win. If no one wins the MTD lawn mower Thursday night, a second drawing will be held Friday and contestants will move closer to the pit.

The UT Martin rodeo is set for April 15-17 at the Ned McWherter Agricultural Complex on campus. Advance tickets are on sale now through Monday, April 12 at select locations in West Tennessee.

The advance ticket outlets include: UT Martin's Boling University Center, Weakley Farmers Co-op, Cowboy Cafe; Fairview Saddlery in Dresden; Gleason's Weakley Farmers Co-op; Union City's Wood Communications Wireless Source and Greenfield's Brawner Boots.

Ticket prices are $10 for adults ($8 in advance); children $7 ($6 in advance). Children ages 5 and under are free with a paid adult. Student tickets are $7 ($6 in advance) with an ID. Weekend passes are available, in advance only, for $18 for all three performances. For more information call the ticket office at (731) 881-7207.

The annual crawfish supper is set for 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 14 at the American Legion in Martin.
The rodeo gets under way Thursday night, April 15, with the Tyson Obion County Complex Performance. Thursday night is bargain night and all tickets are $6 at the door.

Friday night, April 16, is the Tennessee Tractor, LLC Performance, while Saturday night's championship finals is sponsored by Martin Paving Company. Action gets under way each night at 7:30.
Free barbecue will be served from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the Ned Ray McWherter Agricultural Complex Saturday, April 17, before the Edward Jones' Investments Scholarship Auction gets started at 12:30 p.m.

The UT Martin rodeo teams along with the other schools in the Ozark Region are vying for the top two spots on the men's and women's side to seal an automatic berth in the College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR) set for June in Casper, Wyo. The top two individuals in each rodeo event will also receive automatic berths in the CNFR.
