UT MARTIN VOLLEYBALL ANNOUNCES FOUR ADDITIONS TO 2018 ROSTER

MARTIN, Tenn. – University of Tennessee at Martin head volleyball coach Jaclynn Yocum-Wilson has received commitments from four incoming student-athletes as Addison Conley, Lindsey Geurin, Jessica Reynolds and Karen Scanlon will each join the Skyhawks as freshmen next fall.
“This is a group of young, quality student-athletes who we’re very excited to bring on board,” Yocum-Wilson said. “We are still continuing to develop a culture and I am excited about the potential of these student-athletes not only on the court but off the court as well. This class has a chance to be special.”
Addison Conley, OPP/OH, 5-9, Fr., London, Ohio (London HS)
Prepped at London High School under head coach Darrell Eades…Helped the Red Raiders to an 87-14 record (including a perfect 49-0 Mid-State League record) over her four years, dialing up 1,050 kills, a .270 attack percentage, 108 blocks, 964 digs and 122 service aces in her stellar career…Earned All-Ohio third team accolades and was named the MSL Player of the Year as a senior…Took part in the 2017 Ohio All-Star Match after generating 299 kills (3.9 per set), a .301 attack percentage, 36 service aces, 28 blocks and 299 digs (3.9 per set) during her senior campaign…Garnered career-bests in kills (308, 4.5 per set), service aces (46), blocks (35) and digs (367, 5.3 per set) as a junior in 2016, earning all-state third team and All-MSL honors…Compiled 267 kills (3.7 per set), 37 service aces, 20 blocks and 232 digs during her sophomore season…As a freshman, she posted 176 kills, 25 blocks and 66 digs…Was a member of the Elite Volleyball Club based out of Plain City, Ohio.
“I love watching the leadership Addison demonstrates on the court,” Yocum-Wilson said. “She is confident in her play and will bring a great attitude to our gym.”
Lindsey Geurin, L/DS, 5-5, Fr., Safety Harbor, Fla. (Clearwater Central Catholic HS)
Played under head coach Stephen Shepherd at Clearwater Central Catholic High School…Tallied 114 digs over 71 sets (1.6 per set) for the Marauders as a sophomore…Took part in the prestigious HP Indoor Volleyball Florida Region Development Camp in 2016…Was a four-year member of the Optimum Volleyball Club under coach Alex Gonzalez, as the team made an appearance in the 17U AAU Nationals…Trained under Dave Carstenson USAV HP BCAP 2 National Team Coach since the age of 13…Trained in beach volleyball under three-time U.S. Olympian Holly McPeak…Qualified for the Rox Beach Nationals.
“Lindsey brings a big voice to the gym and will literally run through a wall if you let her,” Yocum-Wilson said. “She undoubtedly brings an energy and work ethic we want in our gym every day.”
Jessica Reynolds, OPP/OH, 6-0, Fr., Chandler, Ariz. (Perry HS)
Played for head coach Fred Mann at Perry High School…Helped the Pumas go 36-7 during her senior season, as PHS advanced to the state conference 6A tournament…Accumulated 98 kills on a .212 attack percentage, 42 blocks and 58 digs in 2017…Also attended West Aurora High School as an underclassman, helping the squad to a pair of regional championships as a sophomore and freshman…Transitioned to outside hitter at Spiral Volleyball Club for her 17U and 18U seasons…Also took part in the Cyclones Volleyball Club up until 16U, training as an opposite hitter under head coach Tolis Kosknaris.
“We are excited to help Jessica develop her skills and reach her high-level potential over the next four years,” Yocum-Wilson said. “She plays for both elite high school and club programs where she is receiving some of the best training out there. She is going to be one to watch.”
Karen Scanlon, MB/OH, 6-0, Fr., Scottsdale, Ariz. (Horizon HS)
Enjoyed a standout prep career at Horizon High School under head coach Valorie McKenzie…Helped the Huskies compile 53 total victories and a 19-1 section record in her final two seasons at HHS…Was responsible for 930 kills, a .291 hitting percentage, 201 blocks, 296 digs and 91 service aces over three seasons for the Huskies…Tallied first team All-Region Desert Valley and PVUSD District Most Valuable Player accolades as a senior, dialing up 268 kills on a career-best .309 attack percentage while also chipping in 23 service aces, 57 blocks and 154 digs…Set career-highs in kills (390), service aces (46) and blocks (88) while also posting a .305 hitting percentage and 89 digs in 2016, the same year she was named an honorable mention all-state 6A performer…Captured All-PVUSD all-district honors as a sophomore, piling up 272 kills, a .250 hitting percentage, 22 service aces, 56 blocks and 53 digs…Was a member of the HiLitz Club team, which was coached by Bradley Friesen.
“Karen is a true student of the game and possesses a high volleyball IQ, which we expect will continue to develop during her collegiate campaign,” Yocum-Wilson said. “She brings a confidence to the court and is the type of player you want and need on your side of the net.”
These four will join a Skyhawk program that just this past season tied for the school’s most single-season victories since 2011.
