Skyhawk Softball | Katie Reiff - Graduate Assistant
Katie Reiff enters her second season as a graduate assistant coach for the Skyhawks after finishing out her two-year career and season as a student assistant at UT Martin. Reiff works with both outfielders and infielders.
In 2015, Reiff worked with a pair of Ohio Valley Conference honorees in senior 1B/P Kenzi Tate who paced the squad in all three Triple Crown categories after tallying a .345 batting average, nine home runs and 38 RBIs en route to an All-OVC first team selection. Freshman Alicia Hansen also earned a spot on the All-Newcomer squad after tallying six home runs and 28 RBIs in her debut season while swiping a team-best 15 stolen bases.
Reiff served as a student assistant during the 2014 season while completing her undergraduate degree.
As a Skyhawk, Reiff appeared in 76 games while earning the starting nod in 57 contests between second base and shortstop. She started every game in the 2013 season before suffering a season-ending injury, tallying 10 hits and three RBIs.
Before coming to UT Martin, Reiff was a member of a Lake Land College squad where she was named to the Region 24 All-Tournament team. In addition to two-time Region 24 All-Tournament team selection, Reiff had a .367 batting average, hitting 13 doubles, four home runs and driving in 35 RBIs.
Reiff is the daughter of Bill and Amy Reiff of Monticello, Ind. As a 2014 UT Martin graduate in health and human performance, she is currently pursuing a master’s degree with the ultimate goal of becoming a teacher and a coach.
