Skyhawk Cross-Country | Tallon Scott - Volunteer Assistant
Tallon Scott begins his coaching career as a Volunteer Assistant Coach during the Fall of 2013. Scott graduated from UT Martin in May 2013, where he ran for four years under current head coach Gordon Sanders.
During his four years at UT Martin Scott excelled in the classroom and on the cross country course. He was named to the Ohio Valley Conference Commissioners’ Honor Roll from 2011-2013, and the UTM Honor Roll from 2009-2013. He helped lead the men’s team to the highest OVC finish in school history. During this time he achieved a personal best of 25:58 for 8,000 meters.
Scott received his B.S.B.A. from UT Martin in May 2013 as a double major in Accounting and Finance. He is a full time Staff Accountant for Martin, Colson, Hale, and Henderson, CPAs in Murray, KY and is currently pursuing the CPA exam.
Scott began his running career in 2006 as a multi-sport athlete in tennis, basketball, track, and cross country. He was an All-State track athlete at Dyersburg High School and helped lead the 2008 cross country team to a third place finish in the State meet. He also won three individual district championships, two team titles, and was named to the All-Region team three times in tennis. He graduated from Dyersburg High School in 2009.
