Skyhawk Athletic Training | Katherine Malik - Assistant Athletic Trainer
Katherine Malik enters her fourth season as an assistant athletic trainer at The University of Tennessee at Martin. She serves as the primary athletic trainer for the Skyhawk women's soccer and softball teams, while also assisting with the Olympic sports.
Malik comes to the Skyhawk Sports Medicine staff from Birmingham Southern where she was also an assistant athletic trainer, working primarily with the women's soccer, women's basketball, softball and lacrosse teams. Prior to her time at Birmingham Southern, Malik spent a year as an intern at Georgia Tech and two years as a graduate assistant at the University of Central Florida. While at Georgia Tech, Malik worked with the football and track programs and at Central Florida she worked primarily with the women's soccer team while earning a master's degree in physical education.
Malik is a 2004 graduate of the University of Florida, earning a degree in exercise science and is married to her husband, Tyson Malik.
