2016: Began the season as an outfielder before transitioning into a relief pitcher…Played in 25 games with 18 starts as a position player, hitting .258 with three home runs, 12 RBI’s and 14 runs scored…Posted a .455 slugging percentage and a .390 on-base percentage…Accounted for four multi-hit efforts and three multi-RBI outings, including a career-high three hits and three RBI’s against Buffalo on Feb. 27…Also had three RBI’s in the first game of a doubleheader while adding a career-high three runs scored in the backend of a doubleheader against Jackson State on Feb. 20…Made two relief appearances, striking out one batter against Southeast Missouri (March 26) before tossing a shutout inning against Memphis on May 17.
BEFORE UTM: Attended Wabash Valley College in Mount Carmel, Ill., where he played under head coach Rob Fournier and alongside current Skyhawk teammate Todd Goldberg…Redshirted in 2015 after helping lead the Warriors to a 48-13 record as a freshman…Helped WVC finish eighth nationally in the NJCAA Division-I rankings after an appearance in the Northern District championship game and winning a Great Rivers Athletic Conference championship…Hit .333 with three doubles, a home run, 11 RBI’s, a .476 on-base percentage and .515 slugging percentage to go along with a pair of stolen bases in 18 games (six starts) as a true freshman…Had a pair of multi-hit games and had two games with at least three RBI’s (including four RBI’s at Southeastern Illinois College on April 26)…Prepped at Seckman High School, where he was a three-time first team all-conference honoree under head coach Brad Hagedorn…Helped lead the Jaguars to district championships in 2012 and 2013…Was 24-for-25 in stolen base attempts in his prep career…Was selected as one of 50 players to participate in the 2013 PNC Bank High School Baseball Showcase at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, Mo.
