Hood Community College, which is located in Gresham, Oregon…Playing for head coach Bryan Donohue, he was part of a Saints squad that went 26-19 and won the 2016 Southern Region championship…Posted a 6-3 record with a 2.46 ERA in 12 appearances (11 starts), walking only 16 batters in 73 innings…Tossed three complete games, including nine-inning performances against Clackamas on April 23 and at Southwest Oregon on May 13, not conceding an earned run in either appearance…Struck out a season-high 11 batters with zero walks in the aforementioned game at SWOCC…Piled up eight shutout frames at Linn-Benton on April 8…Went 5-4 with a 2.77 ERA in 13 appearances (12 starts) as a freshman for a team that racked up a 35-14 record…Allowed just 79 hits and 11 walks while fanning 60 batters in 90.2 innings…Went the distance in five games, including a stretch where he pitched the full nine innings in three straight starts from April 4-17…Dialed up 11 strikeouts in nine innings in the win over Southwest Oregon on April 17…Prepped at Columbia River High School, where he went 19-2 in his career under head coach Stephen Donohue…Went 7-1 with a microscopic 0.20 ERA (one earned run in 46 innings) to go along with 43 strikeouts…Two of his wins came in the 2014 postseason, as he anchored the Chieftans to the Class 3A state tournament quarterfinals…Was named the Columbian All-Region Player of the Year and to the Washington State Baseball Coaches Association Class 3A all-state second team as a senior…Started his sophomore season with an 8-0 record to help Columbia River make a deep postseason run.
