BEFORE UTM:Was a durable backstop at St. Charles East High School, where he played under head coach Len Asquini…Selected as the 104th best overall player and the No. 19 catching prospect in the state of Illinois by Perfect Game…Helped St. Charles East go 23-15 during his senior campaign, as the Saints won its first regional title since 2013…One of best games in 2016 came against Streamwood on May 4, driving in four runs in a five-inning, 11-1 win…Caught a complete game three-hitter in the Saints’ Class 4A Regional semifinals…Was an all-area and All-Upstate Eight Conference River Division honoree as a junior, helping the Saints post a 22-9 record…Hit .364 with nine doubles and 18 RBI’s as a junior, striking out just three times in 120 at-bats in 2015.
