2016-17: Played in all 31 games while notching 25 starts…Named to All-OVC Tournament team…Named OVC Newcomer of the Week once…Averaged 9.7 points, 5.2 rebounds, 1.4 rebounds and 0.6 steals per game…Tallied 300 points, 104 rebounds, 44 assists, 18 steals and six blocks…Shot 52.7 percent from the field, 13.3 percent from beyond the arc and 80.7 percent from the free throw line…Ranked fifth in the OVC in field goal percentage (52.7)…Scored in double figures 16 times on the season, including 10 consecutive games to end the season…Tallied a season-high 24 points against Murray State while posting arguably her best game against Belmont in the OVC Tournament semifinals with 23 points and 15 rebounds…Tallied three double-doubles against Murray State, Southeast Missouri and Belmont…Tallied 18 games with at least five rebounds while notching double-figures three times.
Before UTM: Mason joins the Skyhawks from Mineral Area Community College where she helped lead the Lady Cards to a 48-12 record in two seasons and a No. 21 ranking in the NJCAA National Poll…Mason was named the program’s only first-team All-American after averaging 19.5 points and 10.1 rebounds per game while shooting 58 percent from the field and 79 percent from the line…Led the team to a runner-up finish at the Region 16 tournament…Named Region 16 Player of the Year while recording 15 double-doubles and scored in double figures in 32 consecutive contests…Named NJCAA Player of the Week twice…Posted 32 points and 11 rebounds against Kennedy-King while notching a career-high 18 rebounds at Three Rivers…As a freshman, Mason averaged 7.5 points and 4.4 rebounds before finishing the season strong by averaging 20.3 points and 7.7 rebounds over the final three games of the season en route to a Region 16 championship.
High School: Mason prepped at Covington High School for head coach Katrisha Glass…While playing for the Chargers, Mason averaged 13.8 points, 7.6 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game en route to leading the team to a 26-8 finish…Arguably the best games of her career came against Haywood when she notched 21 points and 13 rebounds while recording 34 points against Jackson Central Merry.
