2015: Made an immediate impact for the Skyhawks during his freshman campaign, playing in all 11 games while earning starts in the final 10 games…Posted 55 tackles including 5.5 tackles for loss…Tallied seven quarterback hurries and two pass breakups…Notched a career best eight tackles against No. 1 Jacksonville State on Sept. 26…Posted six games with five tackles or more including five consecutive games to start the season…Recovered a fumble at Eastern Kentucky on Nov. 7...Posted 2.5 tackles for loss while returning an interception 19 yards at Tennessee Tech (Oct. 3)…Tallied five combined quarterback hurries against Austin Peay and Murray State.

BEFORE UTM: Helped lead Tupelo High School to a 13-2 overall record in 2013…Playing for head coach Trent Hammond, Gilleylen made 106 tackles at inside linebacker for the Golden Wave, who advanced to the MHSAA Class 6A state championship game, the first time a Tupelo team had went to the title game in 21 years…Was named the North team’s Bill Stewart Award winner of the 65th Bernard Blackwell All-Star Football Classic which took part at Gulfport High School…Was named a third team all-state honoree by 247Sports…Earned all-region first team accolades in 2012 and 2013 and was named runner up for region’s Defensive Player of the Year award.
