2014: Redshirted...Made one appearance – a relief outing at nationally ranked Ole Miss on Feb. 19 – before suffering a season-ending injury…Allowed only one hit in 1.2 scoreless innings against Ole Miss.

BEFORE UTM: Joined the Skyhawks out of Ohlone College in Fremont, Calif., where he played for head coach Julian Russell…Was an innings-eater for the Renegades, logging 66.1 innings in 18 appearances over his two seasons…Made a team-high 10 starts and posted a 3-5 record with a 5.60 ERA in 2013…Went 0-1 with a strong 2.31 ERA in six appearances (two starts) as Ohlone posted a 28-12 record on its way to a CCCAA Regional Championship during his freshman campaign…Attended Foothill High School, where he was a Perfect Game USA honorable mention selection.

PERSONAL: Born on Jan. 9, 1993…Son of David and Sandra Zarubin….Family has a strong athletic background, as his father David ran track at Fresno State while his mother Sandra ran track at Wheaton College…Majoring in business management.
