2015: Saw time in 11 games, earning one start (at Union on March 25)…Had two runs scored and three RBI’s in 19 plate appearances…Scored and drove in a run at Union (March 25) while collecting an RBI against OVC foes Morehead State (April 12) and Jacksonville State (May 14)…Scored a run against Belmont on March 29…Had one pickoff from behind the plate…Was named to the OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

2014: Split starting duties at catcher and left field, making 33 starts in all while taking part in 38 contests…Ranked fifth in the Ohio Valley Conference in opponents caught stealing, nabbing 16 would-be basestealers…Posted a .304 batting average with runners on base (14-for-46)…Hit .226 with 11 runs scored, six doubles, six RBI’s, 10 walks and a pair of stolen bases in 138 plate appearances…Ranked fourth on the team with eight multi-hit games, including a pair of three-hit performances (against Southeast Missouri on March 28 and at Austin Peay on May 11)…Scored twice in two games while driving in a pair of runs at Jacksonville State on March 7…Laced a pair of doubles against Southeast Missouri on March 28…Named to the OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll and was one of only 12 baseball student-athletes to earn an OVC Medal of Honor for his perfect 4.0 Grade Point Average.

2013: Emerged as the starting catcher towards the end of the season, starting in 12 of his 22 games played…Hit .250 in 44 at-bats with a team-high .389 on-base average while posting a .318 slugging percentage…Had three doubles, five runs scored and an RBI…Hit safely in eight of his 12 starts, ending the season on a four-game hitting streak…Had his first career multi-hit game in his first two at-bats of the season against Mid-Continent on March 4…Hit .310 against right-handed pitching (9-for-29)…Named to the OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

BEFORE UTM: Came to UT Martin from the highly successful Friendship Christian School program located in Lebanon, Tenn....Under head coach John McNeal, the Commanders earned four straight district, region and substate titles and four appearances in the TSSAA Spring Fling...Led the 2012 FCS squad to a 37-4 overall record and a runner-up finish as a junior in 2011...As a senior, Erie posted a .405 batting average with 38 RBI, seven doubles and three home runs...Showed a patient approach at the plate, drawing 22 walks that resulted in a .513 on-base percentage...Was a second team all-state performer as a senior, a two-time all-district selection (2011, 2012) as well as an all-region and all-midstate performer as a senior...Played in the inaugural adidas Middle Tennessee Senior All-Star Classic at Cumberland University in June 2012...Also played wide receiver on the FCS football squad, helping the Commanders capture the 2011 state championship.
