COACH CARPENTER ON CABALLERO: “Brendon was a highly recruited player out of high school. He had an outstanding junior golf and high school career. He is very smart and approaches the game as a professional. His golf skills are sharp and he should adapt to the collegiate game quickly. Brendon won the 2012 Ken-Tenn Golf Tournament at Fulton Country Club. He has qualified for the 2012 state amateur gofl tournament. He had an outstanding freshman year with a top seven finish in the OVC Championship and led the team in scoring average for 2011-2012 year. He is expectedto be one of the leading players this year."

2011-2012 SEASON: Caballero competed in 29 rounds in his freshman campaign.  He had a season average of 73.83 strokes per round and shot a season low 68.  He won the Frito Lay/Taco Bell Intercollegiate.  Led the team in scoring average.

AS A PREP: Caballero finished fifth in the Class AAA state golf tournament his senior year. He shot a 69 in the first round and a 74 in the second round for a two-round total of 143. Among his other major accomplishments his senior season, he finished sixth in the American Junior Golf Association’s Palmetto Junior Classic. In 2009, Caballero finished among the top 20 at the Class AAA state golf tournament at Old Fort Golf Club in Murfreesboro. He had a high school stroke average is 35.4 for nine holes and USGA handicap is +1.2.

PERSONAL: Caballero is the son of Donovan and Tammy Caballero. He was born Nov. 6, 1992.
