2012: Made four appearances out of the bullpen…Threw one inning at Georgia Southern on Feb. 19 and at Indiana State on March 11…Also pitched against Butler (0.1 innings on Feb. 26) and Ole Miss (0.1 innings on March 6)…Struck out one in a shutout appearance against Indiana State.
2011: Tallied eight appearances, including a start at No. 1 Vanderbilt on March 29…Allowed one or zero hits in half of his appearances…Fanned a career-high three batters while conceding just one earned run in 3.2 innings at Memphis on March 15…Recorded a 1.69 ERA in his first three appearances (Indiana State, Purdue, Memphis).
BEFORE UTM: Enters UT Martin from the prestigious Harrison High School program in Kennesaw, Ga....Playing for head coach Mark Elkins, he led the Hoyas to the 2010 Georgia 5-A state title, where he was on the mound for Game 1 of the championship series against Lassiter - a school located just 12 miles from HHS...The Hoyas went 29-9 with a 14-4 regional record last season - as the team was ranked 15th in the nation by USA Today...He went 6-2 on the mound during his senior campaign, while the team's record in games he started was a sterling 10-2...He was a Perfect Game USA Southeast Region Honorable Mention All-High School Senior team and was a Cobb County all-county honoree in 2009 as well...In Skubina's four years at HHS, the school combined for a 96-21 record (50-12 in conference)...He helped lead the Hoyas to a regional runner-up showing and state final-16 appearance in 2009, as well as a 5A regional championship in 2008.
