2013: Was hampered by injuries for the majority of the season, seeing time in 18 games with 13 starts at designated hitter…Hit .304 in 46 at-bats, posting a .360 on-base percentage and .413 slugging percentage…Crossed the plate nine times and had a pair of RBI’s…Had four multi-hit games, including a season-best three hits against Mid-Continent on March 4…Scored two or more runs on three different occasions, including a career-high three runs scored against Mid-Continent on March 4…All five of his doubles came in a seven-game stretch from Feb. 24 through March 9…Named to the OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

2012: Started in all 44 games he appeared in, mostly at first base…Hit .333 (18-for-54) with runners in scoring position…Tallied seven multi-hit games, including a 4-for-4 effort at Evansville on March 13…In the Evansville game, he also added three RBI, two doubles and a run scored…Also chalked up three-hit performances against Southern Illinois (including two doubles) on Feb. 21 and against Eastern Kentucky on May 4…Ranked second on the team with 26 RBI, including six multi-RBI games…Drove in five runs and scored twice on March 25 against Tennessee Tech…Homered in back-to-back home games against Tennessee Tech (March 25) and Lipscomb (March 27)…Scored two runs in seven games, four of which came against OVC opposition…Had a six-game hitting streak – four of which came in OVC play – in late March/early April...Ranked 10th in the OVC in chances (372) and putouts (338)...Named to the OVC Commissioner's Honor Roll.

2011: Earned All-Ohio Valley Conference first team and Collegiate Baseball Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American accolades in a sensational debut season…Hit .340 with a .400 on-base percentage and .537 slugging percentage (10th best in the OVC) on his way to becoming the only freshman on the All-OVC first team…Was just the fourth Skyhawk to earn All-OVC first team status, while also earning a spot on the OVC All-Freshman squad…After his insertion into the starting lineup on March 1, he pieced together a dozen multi-hit games – five of which came in conference play…Tallied a pair of four-hit performances (against Jacksonville State and SIU Edwardsville), while also driving in a career-high six runs against SIU Edwardsville on April 10…Overall, laced 15 doubles and four homers in 147 at-bats, accumulating 33 RBI…Hit a team-best .403 (25-for-62) in conference play (fourth-highest in the OVC), with a .441 on-base percentage and .613 slugging percentage…Hit safely in 29 of his 40 games, including 14 of the 21 OVC games he appeared in...Named to the OVC Commissioner's Honor Roll.

BEFORE UTM: Led Cathedral Preparatory School to a 15-7 team record under head coach Dave Hess in 2010...Was a three-year starter, playing third base, shortstop and pitcher...Hit .441 with seven home runs and 29 RBI on offense for the Ramblers while sporting a 4-3 record and 2.93 ERA as a senior...In a game where the Ramblers clinched a share of the Region 7 championship, he hit a three-run homer in a 5-4 Cathedral Prep victory...He also went deep twice in the first inning of a 19-0 win over East during his senior campaign...Was named an all-district 10 selection by the Erie Times-News and was named a Pennsylvania all-league player in district 10 by a junior, he was a Class AAA 1st Team All Region 7 honoree...Was a three-time all-region honoree (first team in 2009 and 2010, second team in 2008).

PERSONAL: Born on Sept. 4, 1991...Son of Donna and Phil Sorensen, Jr....Has two siblings, Evie and Michael...Father Phil played baseball at Mercyhurst College from 1984-88 while uncle Keith Latzo played football at Clarion University...Majoring in health and human performance.
