2011: Successfully made the transition from set-up man to starting pitcher, serving as UT Martin's No. 1 starter all season as a sophomore...Made 19 appearances, leading the Ohio Valley Conference in games started (15) and innings pitched (91.0) and also ranking fourth in strikeouts (67)...Sported nearly a 2:1 strikeout-to-walk ratio (67:36) and allowed only five home runs - four of which came in back-to-back starts...Went 3-7 and earned a save at Southern Illinois on April 19...Fanned six or more batters in each of his first six starts, including a career-high 10 in eight innings against Murray State on April 2...Logged nine starts of six-plus innings, including going eight innings on three different occasions...Allowed just one run on five hits in seven innings at UAB on March 18 and allowed three runs on three hits in eight innings against Eastern Illinois on April 30.
2010: Took the league by storm and emerged as one of the OVC's best pitchers, as he was named to the All-OVC Freshman squad...Led the team in Earned Run Average, as his 3.63 ERA also ranked second in the conference...For 10 straight weeks, he ranked either first or second in the OVC in ERA...Won three games and saved two ballgames (both in league play) in 22 appearances (three starts) while accumulating 67 innings - which ranked second on the team..Also ranked in the top-10 in the OVC in five other categories: least home runs allowed per game (0.27; first), strikeouts per game (7.93; sixth), least hits allowed per game (9.67; seventh), least walks per game (2.96; seventh), and opponent batting average (.275; seventh)...Allowed zero earned runs in 12 of his 22 appearances, posting multiple-strikeouts in all but five appearances...Began the season with 9.1 innings without allowing an earned run, and gave up just three earned runs in his first 23.2 innings, and went two weeks in midseason by not allowing an earned run in 13 innings over five appearances...Serving as one of the league's most dominant set-up men, he did not allow a single home run in 28 innings in conference play.
